King of Pentacles
The King of Pentacles is an enlightened ruler of earthly wealth and financial resources. In a reading, he represents an older, authoritative figure that the querent can trust to be available as a patron or stable force of supportive advice. Facing right, perhaps the card has more significance to the querent’s established situation. The King of Pentacles, then, represents an authority and stability found within one’s self. Reversed, however, this card can indicate the importance of a cautionary stance in relation to older, influential presences in the querent’s life. Take care not to give your power away or be fiscally manipulated. Left-facing, the querent is reminded to release financial stubbornness and reconsider how they are investing in their future and how they are helping others.

The King of Pentacles is the pinnacle of sacred masculinity, which, when dissected, can be boiled down to the role of “pollinator.” This card can also indicate a group or person with strong masculine energies who is supporting your finances.
In order to make a pound of honey, a single honey bee must visit two million flowers. Let this amazing animal be a your totem. This is the type of sacred masculinity the King of Pentacles is interested in: meditative, consistent, and dutiful.
When the King of Pentacles card appears, both the bee and the flower are aligned, destined to meet. Inner-most goals are within reach. This card indicates success where hard work and a surrendering, humble spirit are present. Find sustainability in your occupation by dedicating or re-dedicating your work to a common good. Make offerings to the Earth in a meditative and tender manner, and ask for sacred growth if you need it.
